California CCW License The issuance of a CCW license in California is at the discretion of the sheriff of the county in which you reside. Your ability to obtain a license is dependent on where you live and your particular circumstances. The rate of issuance of California CCW licenses by county through 2007 is available at the California Department of Justice website. This course fulfills the training requirement of many California jurisdictions including Alameda County, Orange County, Sacramento County, San Joaquin County including the cities of Stockton and Tracy. Defensive Accuracy is an entity recognized by the California Department of Justice (DOJ) as providing comparable handgun safety training to those entities specified by Penal Code section 12804(j). Completion of this course, however, does not guarantee that you will be issued a California CCW permit. Personal Protection Outside The Home is a course developed by the NRA to provide training needed by those who will be carrying a concealed handgun. Whether you are currently carrying concealed or are planning on obtaining a CCW license in the future, this course provides instruction and safe practice of concealed carry and shooting techniques. From your draw stroke from a strong-side holster or purse to engaging multiple targets, you will have ample opportunity to develop and polish your skills. You may wish to check with your sheriff if you are planning on using this course for meeting the training requirements for obtaining a California CCW license in your county. Utah CCW License Concealed Firearms permits in the State of Utah are regulated by the Bureau of Criminal Identification. A permit to carry a concealed firearm in the State of Utah may be obtained by completing the instructions, and meeting the requirements as outlined on Form 96-4-02 Application for Concealed Firearm Permit. Defensive Accuracy offers classes by a certified Concealed Firearm Permit Instructor and provides all of the services for you to complete your Utah CCW License application. Florida Concealed Weapon/Firearm License Non-resident Florida CCW permits are available to residents of California. As a non-resident Florida CCW licensee, you are able to carry concealed in 31 States. The application process is not overly complex and the license can be obtained by mail. If you are a Florida resident, you get an extra 6 states in which you can carry concealed. The NRA pistol courses and the combined Utah and Florida CCW course that we teach meet the training requirements for the Florida CCW. The Florida Concealed Weapon/Firearm License is issued by the State of Florida and is available to residents and non-residents. The program is administered by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Division of Licensing and details are available on their website. The license is open to individuals without firearms restrictions who complete the application and show proof of firearms training. You may download an application or request an application by mail by going to this link. The application must be completed by you and must be notarized. If you attend one of our classes, we can provide the notary services at no additional charge (bring your drivers license). You will also need two passport photos, the required fees, and a fingerprint card that must be printed at a law enforcement agency. A few bay area agencies will provide fingerprinting services by appointment including San Leandro Police and Brisbane Police (contact Brisbane Community Service Office, Morgan Roller).
